Taking water at Lake Peligre, Haiti
Lindsay, Sarah, Gaeton and I set up camp in a woman’s front yard in Peligre and this was our view. We were in the middle of a 16 day expedition across Haiti collecting intel on coffee farming and peasant agricultural practices. The scene in front of us tells so many stories. Horses at the lakeside. A man in a cowboy hat. A man in a baseball cap. A man in the water next to another man’s dugout canoe. Flowering trees and trash. The end of a day’s work for horse and man.
